Multi Media Expectations


The following information is intended as a guide for educators who intend to have their students complete Multi Media projects. One clearly important factor is to specifically spell out what the guide lines of the project are going to be.

Criteria Description
Preliminary Work The steps leading to a successful presentation.
Story boards A slide by slide plan before starting on the computer.

Primary/Secondary Research completed of factual and interesting information.

Just like a research paper, the information needs to be interesting and factual.
A minimum number of resources used. Spell out your expectations. I want ----- cited resources for this project.
Bibliography Students should keep a running list of sources used so they can
complete a valid bibliography.
Copyright Students should request permission before using copyrighted material. Most
people are excellent at sharing for educational projects.
Clear Topic / Sub Topics The expectations for the assignment should be clear.
Design Make it look good and be organized.

Presentation has all parts of a good paper.

Presentations should include thesis, introduction, supporting points, supporting quotes, conclusions.

Presentation includes multiple various forms of media.
The power of multi media is to include text, photos, sounds, animations and/or movies to support your cause.
Design elements. Student has effectively used font color, font size, background color and styles.
Contrast between text, video, pictures and sound serve to enhance not hinder the presentation.
Navigation
Thought was given to appropriate navigation between slides. Linear or nonlinear.
Content Flash is nice, if it is supported by some solid information.
Information Is the information relevant and interesting.
Creativity The students showed some creativity in the presentation.
Grammar Correct punctuation, complete sentences and spelling.
Labels Maps, pictures, videos and other media has been labeled to enhance the further
understanding of the subject matter.

Originality
The work is mostly original.
Presentation How was the show.
Fluent The show moved well from beginning to end.
Technology Fluent The student understood how to operate the technology to make the presentation
go smoothly.
Preparation The presentation was ready on time and the students run a test run to be sure of
success.
