Integrating Technology into the Instructional Process (It is the intention of this article to encourage teachers to take the risks needed to teach in new ways, to try new tools and enjoy the challenge of learning with students.)

Case Study on Laptop Schools (This is a culminating Master's in Educational Technology project from students at Pepperdine University Graduate School of Education and Psychology. This is an interesting study in web quest format.)

Case Study on Anytime Anywhere Learning with Laptops (The object of the program is to bring project-based learning to the school environment where students from various economic backgrounds can participate equitably. This was also an attempt to integrate technology into curriculum creating a new paradigm for both teachers and students.

The case attempts to answer the following questions:

What was the motivation for the school to participate in a laptop program?
How were teachers selected and prepared to teach curriculum with a technologically-integrated tool?
What role would the school's administration play in the operation of the laptop program?
How would the program be evaluated and with what frequency?
What subject areas are being taught with laptop computers and what type of constructivist activities are they being used for?
On the students side, are they taking advantage of the online resources available on their laptops?
Are classes in which their laptops are being used more meaningful to students?
Are students collaborating more frequently than in the traditional classrooms?

Ask Eric If you would like to search on school related topics go here and then enter your search topic. It has proven to be an invaluable resource to me over the years and I would recommend we all use it when beginning research on topics of concern in our school. The topics cover the gamut of issues faced; academic, social, technology, etc.)
