What is the Cushing Laptop Requirement?
All new students entering Cushing Academy are required to purchase a Cushing configured laptop computer through the Cushing Laptop Purchase Program before arrival on campus in September. By arrangement between Cushing Academy their vendor, this laptop will be configured with specific hardware and software selected for use at the academy. Computers must be purchased through this program.

Who is required to purchase a laptop from the Cushing Laptop initiative?
All students new to Cushing Academy will be required to purchase a Cushing laptop. Returning students considering buying a new computer are encouraged to purchase a laptop through the program.

Who is eligible to purchase a laptop system from the Cushing Web Site?
This program is open to all Cushing Academy students. Faculty and staff employed at Cushing Academy also are eligible. The Cushing Laptop Purchase Program website is password protected. Please refer to the Enrollment Packet for the user name and password or call the Admission Office at Cushing.

What are the benefits of a Cushing Program laptop?
There are several major benefits to standardizing on a single computer model and configuration. Having a Cushing Program Laptop will:

• Ensure that each student has a "Cushing ready" machine with all the required software and hardware needed for their classes.

• Ensure that students have the same laptop as our faculty members.

• Allow Cushing to provide better and faster service

• The Technology Department will stock common parts for machines including batteries and power supplies.

• The Cushing Technology Department staff is certified for repairs on machines in the laptop program. In the event of a malfunction, there are on-site technicians trained on Cushing Program laptops.

• Provide a comprehensive extended warranty.

• Each machine comes with a 4 year international warranty

• Also included is 4 years of Accidental Care warranty which covers accidental damage including cracked LCD screens.

• Extended Service includes On-Site Warranty in the event you are off campus as a commuting student or anywhere else in the world in need of warranty service.
