Downloading and Installing Cushing's FirstClass Email Client (PC)

Download Cushnet from this link and save it to your desktop.
When it appears on your desktop, first make sure no versions of Cushnet/FirstClass are running; this will cause an error if you try to install. Look down at the taskbar on the bottom right- if any version is running, right-click it and choose Exit. Now you can double click the CushnetPC installer-- just follow along, agreeing and saying Yes or Next or whatever- it will pretty much self-install.

That will place a FirstClass icon on your desktop. Open that to get to the login screen.

(You may also need to look on the taskbar on the bottom right to see if FirstClass is up and running- you should be able to right-click on the small icon and choose Connect...)

Once on the login screen, click the Setup button; you have to tell it to look for our mail server.

Where it says “Fill in if accessible over a network”, you need to type "fc.cushing.org" in the “Server:” box.

Click SAVE to save the settings, and you should now be able to connect.

Enter you user name and password and click "Login"

When connecting from home:
You should first connect by using your regular home connection first, and once that is going you can use this to access Cushing email. I know it works with AOL, Earthlink, and I believe NetOne Plus, but so far there seems to be a problem with Compuserve.
